Join a Statewide Committee

YLAN has three statewide committees dedicated to growing and supporting the movement. Anyone who is eligible to become a member can join. These groups meet virtually each month.

Advocacy: Develop youth-led advocacy campaigns and ensure our voices are heard! Through this committee, we create opportunities for young people to create change.

Network Events: Lead the planning of our network’s events, including the first annual Statewide Youth Summit.

Engagement: Create ways to grow YLAN’s network and strengthen our voices! This group develops promotional materials, media, and news.

Join the YLAN Council

The YLAN Council oversees and guides all network activities. We work to build a stronger youth movement in our state and bring our voices to government, policy, and programs. This work ensures there is nothing about us without us! Additionally, while serving on the Council you have the opportunity to gain and grow skills, make a lot of connections, and have a great addition to your resume.

We are looking for motivated young people ages 18-30 who self-identify as having a disability to join our team. You must be able to meet for at least 1.5-2 hours a month, have access to email, and be able to travel independently.

Interested in joining? Fill out the application below!
